Waterfront cottage with Jon Boat, Kayaks, Fishing

This is an adorable small cottage RIGHT on the water. It is furnished with just what one needs... and I LOVED all the outlets for phones, tablets, and more that need to be charged. Great beds with warm bedding. We definitely needed the extra heater during the cold snap we encountered. The snacks were an enjoyable bonus. We didn't use the option of the kayaks or small boat, but this would be a great option for those so inclined. The snacks were an enjoyable bonus. The location is advantageous for both Swansboro and Emerald Isle, but the cottage is right on a busy road, with some vehicle noise noticeable indoors. But once outside, overlooking the marsh you feel you are away from it all...

Funky little place with one heck of a beautiful view! Off a really busy road but it’s amazing how once in the backyard and you see the water you forget all about any near by traffic. Not far from downtown Swansboro at all, and a scenic drive to Emerald Isle. Enjoy…

Perfect little getaway cottage on a beautiful scenic water way. Impressed with the tidiness and cleanliness and the snacks and the little extras. It was rather chilly (early Feb) and really appreciated the extra space heaters for bedrooms and coffee nook. A place to keep in mind for future getaways. Exceeded our expectations. We didn't need to contact host for anything.

We absolutely adored the place and plan to come back! The back opening up to the water was a dream. Super cute, cozy feel to the house with all the thought out little details. The host was very responsive and helpful! 10/10 recommend this spot. :) One thing to keep in mind is that the house is on the main road, so it can get a bit noisy and take some time to get in and out. But the host was transparent about that from the get go! Step into the back area and it feels very private and tranquil. Especially in the mornings and evening when traffic isn’t as heavy. And the view is amazing! We loved our stay.

Wonderful place to rest after a business trip

We had another wonderful stay at the pirate cottage in Cedar Point. We were so lucky to be there for a once-in-a-lifetime snowstorm on the coast! Given how unusual a weather event like this is at the beach, we couldn’t have asked for better communication from management. We didn’t have to ask for anything. We sat outside while the snow fell, looking at the beautiful view across the water, warm and cozy next to our fire with our dog at our feet. The result: winter magic! We made our next reservation before we even left.

Amazing stay!

It was one of my most favorite Airbnb experiences in Swansboro area. Really close to restaurants, grocery stores and other attractions. My favorite part was drinking coffee overlooking the water in the morning at sunrise and in the evening at sunset. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything I needed to make a small meal of chili and grilled cheese during the cold weather weekend. We did go and buy a small space heater to help keep us warm.( it was only in the 20’s at night and 30’a during the day.) I felt it was a perfect long weekend getaway to this beautiful area for the month of January!

Beautifully decorated fisherman’s cottage, very cozy. We felt right at home. Bed linens & towels were fresh and comfy. Great mattresses & pillows! 😍 The kitchen has everything you could need. I was a little worried about making Christmas dinner away from home but it went off without a hitch. We were there the week of Christmas so too chilly to take the boat out but sitting on the deck was a relaxing treat. Very friendly area with several great local restaurants & shops. We highly recommend!

Place was well appointed, with lots of amenities. Extremely clean. Water view was wonderful. Place was small but everything needed was there. When i have quests coming this is the first place I'll look from now on. Thank you Jonathan

Very reasonable price and a very nice space for a couple to stay!

We loved waking up to coffee looking over the salt marsh. It was so peaceful! The master bed is also super comfortable and the moonlight shining through the window was magical.

A comfortable house with good beds, a well equiped kitchen and a nice view. we do think you need to consider that the location of the house is naar a busy road and you hear the cars throughout the day and night. Given all the comfort provided it is still recommended.

We stayed for a week and had an extremely relaxing time at Jonathan’s place. It had all the items you would need and we barely even left to go out during the day. The view from inside was just as beautiful as outside. We will definitely return for another visit. Thanks!

Jonathan and Misty welcomed me into their home for a quick 18 hr solo getaway from the chaos of motherhood. I could not have asked for a more perfect retreat. The house was beautiful and furnished so thoughtfully. (Blackout shades, snack tray, sound machine, pack & play, seasonings, etc.) Both owners were a delight to communicate with. I had a special request regarding checkin and Jonathan was more than happy to accommodate, and Misty and I shared a laugh over the demands of mom life. Their sweet personalities lent a beautiful human touch to the online booking process that is often so sterile and automated. I will not hesitate to return to this location in the future when I need another chance to rest and retreat. 5 Stars. 10/10 would recommend.

this stay was amazing. it is clean and well stocked, it has a beautiful coffee bar and sitting area. It had everything i thought i’d ever need and more, the water was beautiful and there were even snacks!!! the owner was helpful and responsive and couldn’t have asked for a better weekend trip to celebrate an anniversary. thank you guys!!!

A perfect home for cherished memories to made.

I had a wonderful stay. Great location and amazing views right on the water. Enjoyed sitting outside every morning and evening. Zeus also loved laying outside and watching the birds and the water. The sunroom was also a nice open and peaceful space for Zeus to explore. Loved the fully stocked coffee bar and welcome snacks as well. Hosts were very responsive in the chat and helpful. I’m looking forward to another visit or even checking out another one of their properties

We enjoyed out get away to Jonathan's place. Coffee on the back deck watching the sunrise was peaceful, kayaking was fun, and the home had everything we needed.

We had a great stay. I wished there was things to do in nearby towns on Mondays but seems Sunday/Monday is the business weekend. The hosts were very helpful with recommendations and responsive We lucked out with great weather and got a beach day in at Emerald Isle beach. All in all, great memories were made. My husband loved the basket (for extra blankets/ throws that we had to find one on Amazon to order. 😊

Overall we had a wonderful time. The home is lovely and the backyard is beautiful! The house is on a very busy road as mentioned and you will hear vehicles 24 hours a day. The hosts have noise machines in both rooms so that does help to drown out the sound at night. I read the list of amenities to see what I would not need to pack. It was listed that there was a beach umbrella, so we didn't being ours. There ended up being no umbrella at the house that we could find. So that was disappointing. Otherwise, we caught several fish right off the back deck, the dogs had a blast playing in the water, super close to Emerald Isle & some fun pet friendly restaurants. Great weekend trip!

Cedar Point is a beautiful place to relax. The location of the cottage is wonderful, close to town, 15 minutes from the beach. The back space is just like the pictures portray, and the space (even with the rush of cars in the front) feels peaceful. There is a derelict house next to the property, but a fence does hide it well. The inside of the cottage was clean and provided all the amenities listed. The beds (two queen) were comfy and the sheets are quality. We loved using the kayaks and fire pit. Thanks for a great stay!

If you want to be right on the water -- like walk out the back door and into a kayak -- this is the place!

The view from the backyard is beautiful! Jonathan was very responsive to any concerns that I had. He answered questions quickly. There are great restaurants close to the house. We enjoyed fishing and watching the birds and small crabs. It’s quiet inside the house. The beds are cozy. The coffee area is great for looking at the views!

My friend and I just wanted a quick getaway for the weekend away from crowds and just people in general. We both just wanted quietness and we got just that. It was peaceful waking up going to the coffee bar they have set up which is SUPER CUTE. We spent the whole day on the kayaks and caught and handful of fish until we got caught in the rain but it made it more fun for us. I also love to cook so being able to have everything I needed to make a home cooked meal was a plus for me! I definitely will be back thank you for welcoming us into your lovely home.

Absolutely loved this little renovated fishing hut right on the water. Although the home is very close to the highway, the backyard is private and completely shut off from the front of the house so we felt safe w our child and small dog. Once you’re in the house and backyard, you won’t notice traffic sounds. The back porch is 5’ from the water (less at high tide) so you can fish from the back porch! Only a couple small steps to get in the house and same to exit the rear. This makes it great for individuals with mobility issues who can’t usually access the water easily. Just across the bridge and turn left to the little shops in the downtown/historic Swansboro is a must. But we recommend grabbing take out from Boro or Saltwater grill and enjoying on the back porch will give you the best view in town! Bake Bottle & Brew has Hershey ice cream for after dinner! Can’t wait to return.

We loved our stay here! Spent 1 night as we had business in town, wish we could have spent more time to enjoy all the amenities.

Great location for anyone who wants to go play in the water; the boat is fun; loved our mornings on the marsh; cute house that is thoughtfully decorated; the downtown (Swansboro) is worth the trip as well

Our family of 4 had such a wonderful stay here on our East Coast road trip. We loved being right on the water, my husband really enjoyed being able to fish just steps from the back door, and my teenagers loved the kayaks. The location was super convenient (and surprisingly peaceful)- it was nice having Dunk’n Drive-Thru 1 minute away for 7am coffee & donut runs, and the cute Main Street area of Swansboro (restaurants, gift shops, etc) 5 minutes in the other direction. We all agreed this was a great stay!

I just loved how friendly and accommodating the hosts were! Beautiful home, didn’t realize the water would be literally right there! Definitely will stay again if given the opportunity!

We spent two nights in this charming fishing cottage on the marsh with views that were unmatched. We chose to sleep in the bedroom closest to the water and saw the sunrise each morning. We made use of the kayaks and brought our own fishing gear and fished out back for hours each day. Though we didn't catch much, we think the $40 investment in a crab basket would be great out there. The area is busy but walkable and we were able to stroll to dinner. One night. We brought our two senior dogs with us and they had no problems finding places to relax throughout the cabin. The kitchen was well stocked with basic spices and all utensils, everything was just as advertised if not better. Jonathan, our host was easy to reach, kind and was flexible with our schedule. We definitely look forward to coming back.

Charming waterfront property with beautiful views!

We had a great time! We enjoyed the Jon boat and kayaks. The view from the house was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the fish jump in the water. My son throughly enjoyed fishing. The only small complaint I have is that the listing mentioned 2 twin beds in one of the bedrooms so I was slightly disappointed when it was a double bed instead. However the pictures listed do show the double bed and I must have overlooked that. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay there again!

Had a perfect getaway at this cottage on the sound. Kayaked nearly every day—with my 13-lb dog. Was glad to be on the sound side where there was no boat traffic. Loved spending time just hanging out on the deck—incredible views. And appreciated the enclosed front porch—made unloading and loading the car easy, and safe with a dog given proximity to a busy road.

Great little fishing hut in the heart of Swansboro. The backyard was secluded and the house was steps away from the water. Kitchen was well stocked, restaurants and bars were a short walk away, and the kayaks/ boat were perfect for fishing on the water. We will be returning in the future!

What a great stay for outdoor adventure! We walked to local shops and restaurants every morning and evening. Loved the water sport amenities of this little home. Fishing, kayaking sunbathing at its best!

Everything was good.

Jonathon’s place is absolutely wonderful. The access to the water is amazing with an amazing sunrise view. For someone like me and my family who like to spend a lot of time on the beach and pier it was perfect. He even offered to let us rent his motor and Jon boat. The kayaks on the sound in the evening is a great plus for evenings in the rental. Certainly appreciated his hospitality and kindness. Highly recommend.

It was very well cleaned and had a lot of amenities. The house was quaint and the small backyard had an amazing view. Only downside is it is right off a major road but there was room to turn around so we did not have to back out.

Great water front cottage with beautiful view of marshes. You will love this if you like wildlife. Very close to Hammocks Beach State Park and Swansboro downtown. We enjoyed kayaking from the backyard and watching fishes jumping out of water. Highly recommend.

Cute little condo on a main road into town, the cars were a little to loud for me during the night and the military craft definitely was fun to watch, one thing STUNNING VIEW on the cute little patio! Clean, and comfy beds!

My fiancé and I found this place very nice and charming. Jonathan and everyone was very communicative and helpful.

The house inside is unique, and the decor is awesome, it sits right on a inlet and you see fish jumping and all sorts of birds, and we did catch some fish, beautiful recreation/dog park a mile and a half from house, and some other great parks to go to close by. Would definitely stay again.

My little family had so much fun. We went out on the kayaks and relaxed out back. Everything was perfect.

This little cottage is a great place to stay on the coast. It is located right on the highway, but once you are inside or on the back deck, it is a lovely and peaceful retreat. The inside is clean and full of thoughtful touches, stocked with everything you need. I loved the little coffee nook and paddling in the sound.

well I have to say it was short notice for us to find a place to stay. and Jonathan's was the 1st airb&b that came up and I loved the pictures. it was so peaceful and beautiful. Jonathan and Misty were easy to get a hold of and very responsive to us with any question I had. 5 plus stars from us. And we are hoping to come back. ❤️❤️ lovely place, clean and beatuiful.

Everything was so great! The only blemish was a mouse had somehow gotten in during our last night and scared me and my wife in the middle of the night making it hard to sleep after that. Otherwise, everything was better than advertised. Only other suggestions was maybe to include a few more kitchen tools (cutting boards, larger stock pot, maybe some kitchen spices and oil). We will absolutely be staying here again. This was an amazing experience and we cannot wait to come back!

Wish we had more time to play with the kayaks and fishing equipment. My oldest son had fun catching shrimp with the casting bucket though. It was such a short stay, but we enjoyed the extras that were offered. The coffee bar was a nice touch too. Host was very responsive to our questions and needs as well!

We had a wonderful stay. The home inside was in immaculate shape and it was always stunning to look out the back windows and see the water. There's plenty to do nearby and it's also so relaxing to just hang out in the house or sit out back waterside. It's pet friendly which is also a big bonus for us. As the description says, the house does sit very close to Hwy 24, but you don't notice it when you're inside. The hosts went the extra mile with white noise machines in the bedrooms to help out if the traffic was noticeable, but we didn't feel the need to use them. We had some rain so our planned use of the house's kayaks didn't come to fruition, but you couldn't ask for a more convenient location to get out on the water.
